God’s Work—for God was its Director and Dynamic (3:5; 6:16)
Principles of Service (Neh.2:18~20; 4:17~18)
(1) Principle of Selection──Excludes all who have
no portion, right or memorial in God’s city (2:20)
(2) Principle of Specialization──every man to his
work (4:15)
(3) Principle of Priority──Home claims come first
(3:10, 23, 28, 30)
(4) Principle of Thoroughness──Earnestly and
thoroughly repairing damage (3:20)
(5) Principle of Dependence──on God’s power (4:9;
6:9)
【「我現在辦理大工，不能下去！」】
“I am
carrying on a great project and cannot go down.”
─ 成為一群忠心儆醒、毫不妥協的人

faithful and alert people that will never compromise

Ch 4 & 6
一、觀察仇敵詭計與作為
Sensitive to
the schemes of the enemy
1.爭戰的持續性與嚴肅性
The
continuance and seriousness of the battles
2.我們並非不曉得牠的詭計 (林後2:11)
“. For we
are not unaware of his schemes” (II Cor. 2:11)
二、不給魔鬼留地步
Leaves no ground for Satan
1.務要抵擋魔鬼，魔鬼就必離開你們逃跑了 (雅4:7)
Resist the
devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:7)
2.“仇敵聽見我們知道他們的心意、見 神也破壞他們的計謀、就不來了。”(尼4:15)
When our
enemies heard that we were aware of their plot and that God had frustrated it
(then they no longer came), we all returned to the wall, each to his own work.
(Neh 4:15)
三、忠心到底，毫不鬆懈與妥協
Faithful to the end, ever alert, and never
compromise
1.“以祿月二十五日城牆修完了、共修了五十二天。我們一切仇敵，四圍的外邦人聽見了便懼怕，愁眉不展，因為見這工作完成，是出乎我們的
神” (尼6:15-16)
“So the wall
was completed on the twenty-fifth of Elul, in fifty-two days. 16
When all our enemies heard about this, all the surrounding nations were afraid
and lost their self-confidence, because they realized that this work had been
done with the help of our God.” (Neh 6:15-16)
