on this day what would bring you peace--but now it is hidden from your eyes.

the things which give peace! but you are not able to see them.

another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

you did not recognize the time of God's coming to you."

because you did not see that it was your day of mercy.

the people were very attentive to hear him.

all the people hung on his words.

the people all hung upon him, listening.
