together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one
upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of
the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

gathered, so that they were trampling on one another, Jesus began to speak
first to his disciples, saying: "Be on your guard against the yeast of
the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
【BBE】At that time, when thousands of the people had
come together, in such numbers that they were crushing one another, he said
first to his disciples, Have nothing to do with the leaven of the Pharisees,
which is deceit.
【ASV】In the mean time, when the many thousands of the
multitude were gathered together, insomuch that they trod one upon another,
he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of

shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in
closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.
【NIV】What you have said in the dark will be heard in
the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will
be proclaimed from the roofs.
【BBE】So, whatever you have said in the dark, will come
to men's hearing in the light, and what you have said secretly inside the
house, will be made public from the house-tops.
【ASV】Wherefore whatsoever ye have said in the darkness
shall be heard in the light; and what ye have spoken in the ear in the inner

speak to my brother, that he divide the inheritance with me.
【NIV】Someone in the crowd said to him, "Teacher,
tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me."

an order to my brother to make division of the heritage with me.
【ASV】And one out of the multitude said unto him,
Teacher, bid my brother divide the inheritance with me.
14【和合本】耶稣说：“你这个人！谁立我作你们断事的官，给你们分家业呢？”

15【和合本】于是对众人说：“你们要谨慎自守，免去一切的贪心，因为人的生命不在乎家道丰富。”
【和修订】于是他对众人说：“你们要谨慎自守，躲避一切的贪心，因为人的生命不在于家道丰富。”
【新译本】于是他对众人说：“你们要谨慎，远离一切贪心，因为人的生命并不在于家道丰富。”
【吕振中】于是对他们说∶“你们要留心，要自守、免去各样的贪婪；因为一个人的生命、不在乎他资财之富余。”
【思高本】遂对他们说：“你们要谨慎，躲避一切贪婪，因为一个人纵然富裕，他的生命并不在于他的资产。”
【牧灵本】他又对群众说:“你们要小心，戒绝一切贪念。因为人即使富足有余，这些也不能给他生命。”
【现代本】于是他继续向大家说：“你们要谨慎自守，躲避各样的贪婪；因为一个人无论怎样的富裕，他的真生命不在乎他有多少财产。”
【当代版】耶稣又转过头来对门徒说：“你们要小心防范一切的贪心，因为真正丰盛的生命，并不在乎家道富足。”
【KJV】And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of
covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things
which he possesseth.
【NIV】Then he said to them, "Watch out! Be on your
guard against all kinds of greed; a man's life does not consist in the
abundance of his possessions."
【BBE】And he said to them, Take care to keep yourselves
free from the desire for property; for a man's life is not made up of the
number of things which he has.

yourselves from all covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the

【新译本】又说：‘我要这样办：我要拆掉这些仓房，建造更大的，好在那里收藏我的一切粮食和货物。
【吕振中】就说∶‘我要这么办∶我要把我的仓房拆下来，建造更大的。我要收集我一切的五谷和财物在那里；
【思高本】他遂说：我要这样做：我要拆毁我的仓房，另建更大的，好在那藏一切类及财物。
【牧灵本】于是他计划:‘我要这么做，拆掉粮仓，再建个更大的，把所有的麦子和作物都放进去。
【现代本】他又自言自语：‘对了，我要把原有的仓库拆了，改建一座更大的，来存放五谷和别的货物，

barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.
【NIV】Then he said, `This is what I'll do. I will tear
down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store all my grain and
my goods.

store-houses and make greater ones, and there I will put all my grain and my
goods.

barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my grain and my goods。
19【和合本】然后要对我的灵魂说：“灵魂哪，你有许多财物积存，可作多年的费用，只管安安逸逸的吃喝快乐吧！’

magistrate, as thou art in the way, give diligence that thou mayest be
delivered from him; lest he hale thee to the judge, and the judge deliver
thee to the officer, and the officer cast thee into prison.

magistrate, try hard to be reconciled to him on the way, or he may drag you
off to the judge, and the judge turn you over to the officer, and the officer
throw you into prison.

you are going with him before the ruler, make an attempt, on the way, to come
to an agreement with him, for if you do not, he may take you before the judge
and the judge will give you up to the police, and they will put you in
